EVERY child needs to know the basic number bonds which lie at the heart of all mental arithmetic. This mini-app gives you a challenge in a fun way: to find as quickly as possible six pairs of numbers that add to 10 from the fifteen provided.
This page provides (1) endless sets of numbers with which to practise, using only drag and drop, and (2) a scoreboard to help you keep track of your progress. The scoreboard not only records the accuracy of your answers but your speed as well.
A further page presents you with questions on flash cards, for the number bonds of 10. You can use this page either in ‘play’ mode or in ‘test’ mode. Playing with the flash cards helps you to get used to how the page works, and testing yourself gives a target to aim for: i.e. answer all the questions posed in the shortest possible time with as few mistakes as possible.
